I put on 25kgs during my pregnancy. Next time around Ill be eating a lot less sugar as that's all I was craving for 9 months! Its taken a full year to loose it but its finally gone. Don't worry about how much you put on. As long as your not losing any weight during pregnancy its all good.

Each pregnancy you have is different, so I would try not to worry too much. To make you feel better, I put on 29kgs during pregnancy (not that I would ever endorse that much weight gain - it was over half my body weight). But I had terrible morning sickness (all day and night) from about day 14 of having conceived till 20 minutes before DS entered the work - so I ate the entire time to try and stop throwing up (not that I should make excuses!). Anyway, I can't remember my exact weight milestones, but I had already put on 24kgs by the time I was 6 months. They do seem overly focused on weight gain over here. I think as long as you are eating sensibly/healthily and trying to keep as active as possible, you will be fine. Obviously excessive weight gain is not advised, but with what you are put on so far, it doesn't look like you are in any way close to that! So I would really try not to worry, and just enjoy it.

I put on around 15kgs the first time and 13kgs the second, first time I didn't loose much after my DD was left with 10kgs to shift, this time I have 5 kgs to loose. I did start of heavier thou with my first. I guess just keep an eye on what your eating and as long as its not tons of fast food ect then you'll be fine. Don't stress about it thou and def eat if your hungry.

I put on 10kgs by 20weeks but only put on 12kgs in total. At my appointments my Dr freaked out with my weight gain told me to slow down on sugar ect. Didnt really pay much attention, but bub took what she needed from me in the last trimester anyways and i ended up only putting on 12, dont worry do what you have to do. I dont understand what the big deal is here with weight gain. 6kgs sounds like nothing to worry about to me.

well, I put on 18kg during both my pregnancies and no-one kept a tally of my weight gain, because it's actually *not important*. Just keep eating healthily and follow your body's lead.

My OB told me when I was pregnant that I should cut out sugar when I see that I'm gaining weight too fast.
