Hi ladies, I hope you can help.
I am 30 weeks now and flying back to Dubai on Wednesday (delivering American Hospital).
Is there anything you recommend that I buy in the UK while I am here, that's it's difficult to buy in Dubai? I've got all the big things for baby (pram, carseat, clothes, bottles, steriliser, etc etc etc), but I mean in terms of things like Raspberry Leaf Tea (assuming you can buy in Dubai?), particular medicines/baby medicines/vitamins for after birth, particular baby products it's hard to get in Dubai?
If there's anything you struggled to find in the latter stages and felt you needed, I would love to add it to the suitcase now.
xx

Multi-vitamins for yourself are cheaper in uk. I got some for breastfeeding with omega 3 made by same co as pregnacare, also can take if not bf. Lansinoh nipple cream

Metanium ointment for diaper rash. It's a favorite of "Super Nanny" and you can't get it in Dubai. Apparently it is more gentle and effective than sudocream or any of the others.

not sure about the rules in Dubai but there have been a few issues here in Doha with people bringing in video monitors, even though the same models are sold here. I even heard one family were deported over it as it was considered "surveillance equipment" (which I guess it is really ;)) You might want to buy the alcohol-free vit D drops (if you plan on giving vit D to your BF baby) also maybe a good range of organic baby shampoos etc (not sure what you can get in Dubai but Doha is dire). Oh and Infant Gaviscon, in-case you have a refluxer on your hands, if you don't use it I'm sure someone will take it off your hands :).

Nursing bras and tops - here the selection is poor and expensive. Video monitor - here they are an extortion

If you're considering cloth nappies, buy those before you return. :)
