For cots, you need to know that the paint/varnish is safe (babies chew on the bars), and of course car seats should be to a certain standard. Mattresses really have to be of the top certification to ensure ventilation etc. I would not buy these items off Dubizzle either.

No way. Especially a carseat. That is something you should buy new. They are only good for so many years and are not to be used if they were in a car accident I've heard this quite recently as well. A friend told me that car seats "expire" after three years. I looked at her crazy, how could a car seat expire?? And for what reason??

No I would want a guarantee that the goods I was entrusting to keep my baby safe were to a certain standard and of a good quality. For a cheap but good quality cot - go to Ikea. For pram/buggy - dubizzle For carseat - I would recommend buying the best you can afford. I would buy a Maxi Cosi seat new to be honest. Or if not - do you have a friend that you can buy a second hand one off? Next best would be dubizzle if you went and met the seller and had faith in the seat not being in an accident beforehand.

I wouldn't recommend buying from DragonMart for safety reasons as PP mentioned. If you need it asap and you don't mind secondhand items, I think it will be better to buy from dubizzle rather than there. HTH

How soon do you want it for? I am not going to say it's ok or not ok for you to buy it from there, just note that it's not an original item.. since safety is a top priority for LOs. The reason I ask when do you need it for is if you can wait til the summer sales in June, Babyshop usually has fab discounts. I bought my buggy cum car seat for less than 1000aed. :) My cot was a hand me down. heh So if you can wait, then please do so.
