I bought curtains from dragon mart last year and they were bit costly and quality was not justified the price. I purchase around 4 sets in red color each sized (120 by 180cm 'ish ) I would look at ...
Dragonmart shops sell chinese material mostly as they are cheap in quality as well as price. The most sales person rely on sales commission. I found an online based company 99Blinds. I have tried once they did quite well. You can google 99blinds for both blinds and curtains. I found they are 10% expensive than others but really they did the what I was looking for.

Hi, I just recently had curtains made from Dragon Mart. We had a lot of windows!! 7 windows downstairs (150 by 200cm 'ish ) , 3 windows upstairs with the same measurements, and 4 metal venetian blinds. We chose thick'ish, plain, stone coloured material which wouldn't require blackout, and our bill came to just under 3000dhs included installation, poles etc. I wasn't impressed with the finishing tbh and they messed up our order as we wanted triple the width instead of double, as we like lots of gathering. We had to knock 500 dhs off the price as they'd charged us for more material. It'll do us for now. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on curtains for rental accommodation which I'll have to leave once I move.

Thanks ladies, I wish I asked the question before visiting Dragon Mart. I hope they will still be looking good after a year, in which case I would not regret the price. The fabric I chose looks very noble and pretty and nicely matches all the new furniture I am buying for the new apartment. But lesson learned ;)

I did my whole villa from dragon mart - 3 bedrooms, living room, dining room, with 3 sets of patio windows for AED 3,800. All made to measure with tie backs and they even sent a guy to put the poles up and hang all the curtains. All I had to do was take the measurements in and choose the fabric. Absolute bargain and they look great. I am sure you will not be able to beat that anywhere. Good luck

Hi I have not been in Dubai long at all and need to cover all my large windows. I've had a guy out to quote and he has quoted for six pairs of really large curtains with pull string (2m x 2.50) three of which are for our bedrooms and are blackout lined. Two blinds (kitchen and office) plus shortening and moving 2 pairs of cheap Ikea curtains we bought for the emergency move in, fitting and all track etc for 4500 AED. I was worried I'd been ripped off a bit cos rather than barter I got him to add an extra blind and the alterations in the price but now I feel better that I have got a good deal. He came to the house with loads of samples (contemporary fabrics) and they have been made in one week. However...........they are being fitted tomorrow............lets see what they look like when they're in, lol :) x

We have been in Dubai many many years and I always used Dragon Mart. When I look back at the time and effort involved, the lack of options to find PLAIN colored curtains and the quality plus the quality/service levels of the istallation guys, it just wasnt that great a deal. Plus DM is actually not that "cheap" considering everything. We moved allot and I cannot remember moving with my curtains so basically have given all the curtains away over the years. Dont even want to calculate how much all of that cost! With our last move I decided not to go to DM and used a company recommended on here. He came to my villa, and I chose the exact same plain (stone) color for all my rooms except for the kids room as they wanted their favorite pink and blue colors. They were all blacked out, ceiling to floor lengths and its amazing quality fabric. They have the string open and close mechanism and I paid AED10,000 for 2 big balcony doors and 6 large windows. This covered my entire villa consisting of lounge, family room, dining room and 4 bedrooms. A year later and it looks like it did on the day they installed it and I have had no lack of compliments from visitors as it looks like "hotel curtains", if that makes sense. You can see it was done professionally. I thought 10k was allot at the time but bearing everything in mind, as it also included all the rails and hooks etc plus blinds for my kitchen, I feel it was a decent amount and will pay for itself in years to come as I dont plan on replacing it anytime soon and I can actually move with the curtains in the future as he will adjust it accordingly for me. After this experience you will not find me going back to DM for curtains again.

Another friend ordered somewhere else in Dubai and she said she paid 4000 USD for similar size apartment but using European fabric, and mine is 7200 Dirhams, which is half of her price, and was hoping I had a good deal. Damn it :)

Can't help with Dragon Mart, but for reference, we had 7 panels of blackout curtains custom made. The pattern we selected was solid color, satin stripes-- not very complex but a very nice material. 4 of these panels were floor to ceiling length, and 3 panels were half length. Estimate was free. Total for 7 panels including installation was 2700 dhs. That is about 385 dhs per curtain panel...so what you are describing sounds expensive.

the prices at Dragonmart for curtains are subject to many factors: - the material you choose (if you pick ones from those hanging in the store which are mostly chinese fabrics they tend to be cheaper than the ones that you pick out of their books) - the location of the store (the stores on the main aisle tend to be more expensive than the stores further back) - the fabric itself (the thread count, etc.) - the type of hanging (eyelet type is more expensive than the three/two pin type) - the width/height of your curtains (if your curtain requires a double width cloth or more it can affect the price as they would need to stitch two parts together) - blackouts (this is pretty much the same as having to stitch another curtain so can be expensive... would be cheaper to just buy a darker, thicker fabric for your main curtain) i have purchased my curtains from Dragonmart from their regular hanging selection and i did two large living room windows (roughly 260cms by 220cms), two medium sized bedroom windows (roughly 180cms by 220cms) and one extra large bedroom window (500cms by 220cms) with blackouts on two of medium sized bedroom ones for a total of AED 2000/-... this was earlier this year Apparently the fabric I chose wasn't the cheapest in the store. The main curtains fabric was Turkish and chiffon was Korean. I believe this was the main cost driver in my case Plus my living room window is 5 m wide and master bedroom window is 3.5 m wide.

I checked EW and few friends and Dragon Mart was named as the most affordable place for curtains. Few friends said it would be around 500-700 Dhs per window on average. Today I visited the place and checked what they have and after calculations it turned out to be 1200 Dhs per window (this is roughly total amount divided by number of windows - this is for a 3-bed apt and also includes cotton black-out, chiffon and installation). So my question to those who ordered their curtains in Dragon Mart: is this price reasonable? Or my friends' estimates were wrong or outdated? And how much did you pay for your curtains (including installation and everything)? TIA It is very cheap. I bought blackouts from Ikea recently which were made and they cost be AED500 for one pair and they didn't hang them for me
