Worried: after pest control

We had pest control while we were away on a mini Christmas break. I arranged with one guy to come and clean and freshen the air afterwards, we came back 4 days later to find no smell in general except for some smell coming from the cupboards, the people from the pest control had put some gel there as well as gel in the bedrooms. All was fine until the guy told me a horrific story about a couple coming back the same evening after pest control and later dying. Now I am very worried , is the gel poisonous as well? The AC was not on, as they have warned him against putting it on but how to know we are safe?

If you used a really reputable pest control company like National pest control, then you have nothing to worry about. When they come to our house, they ask pets to be locked in a separate rom for 2 hours after the pest control has been performed, and to keep babies and small children and pregnant ladies like myself out for an hour or two. They are very trustworthy company. We use them. COuld you call the cmpany you used and get them to explain everything, maybe you would get some peace of mind. And I totally understand your concerns, I have had similar myself.

We live in an apartment, came back 4 days later, but I am worried about any long term side effects on the health, can it lead to cancer ? I think I am going crazy.

In the past we have had gel used inside the house and spray for outside. Had an under 1 year old at the time and they recommended that we leave the villa for 24 hours which we did. Came back next day and it was all fine. No smell from gel at all. The gel from what I gather should be orderless.

We had also gel put in cupboards, rooms etc. and the pest control company said it's safe, no need to leave apartment or clear out cupboards. But then again, it didn't smell at all. Maybe contact them and ask which product they used and take it from there?

I thought the gel was used rather than spray as the spray fumes can be poisonous whereas the gel kills the bigs when they eat it...
