Has anyone a Westpac account in Australia and has sent money to HSBC in Dubai per online banking?

Under "international" I can't find lots of countries but no Dubai / UAE! So it seems not possible to transfer money online?!

I have an HSBC account here and a Westpac account in Australia. I ended up opening another HSBC account in Australia which I use as the conduit between my HSBC UAE and Westpac AU accounts. It is pretty straightforward to move money online between the HSBC accounts and domestically between HSBC AU and Westpac. HTH

It's not easy. If you know your bank manager, give them a call. You will need to SWIFT the money over and this cannot easily be done online. When you do anything online, the issue will be the SMS verification. They require an Australian mobile phone to send a code through before the transaction occurs... The way around this would be to send the money to a friend or family member in Oz then ask them to transfer it to you here.... sorry, it's a hassle..

I know I can with CBA, so maybe try calling the Westpac call centre one day and ask them how... I don't see why would be a problem?

we could never do it to UAE with our OLB with NAB or Bankwest... but we setup a Fax Authority so we could. Saying that though, we haven't sent moneyTO DXB since a few months after we arrived 5 years ago... only sent it back! Back to OZ is NO problem!..
