I have forgotten exactly but I think around AED 1000 each. We looked and looked for cheaper ones but couldn't find anything we liked (we wanted a simple style) and the Hunter ones do have a 25 year warranty on the motors - they are almost silent too.

Hi Cornish Pixie, what kind of price did you pay? We are looking at replacing our overhead light (broken since the day we moved in and would never use it anyway) and the landlord has offered to make a contribution towards it but not sure about prices.

We got ours from these people too and had Emril install them. It is amazing how much less we need the AC on, even in the summer months we tend to run the AC on 24C and not lower. Saves quite a bit of money!

I'm not sure ifyou can get them in Dragonmart, or the quality of them if you can. We got ours through Huda Lighting, next door to Max Garage on Umm Sequim Road. They have some on display and order through The Ceiling Fan Company who have a warehouse in Al Quoz. This is their website http://www.theceilingfancompany.com/index2.htm The lady who answers the phone from the contact details on there is very knowledgeable and very helpful.
