I cant see why we have to wait for Valentines to show our effections, sadly I wont be here. We went out on date tonight, who needs the 14th feb when we can do it any night of the year. I agree 100%. DH and I refuse to participate in this commercialism of Valentines Day. We show our affections when we want to and my DH does romantic stuff all the time.

Too tight to go out on VD.... lol. Always do nice dinner at home with a bottle of bubbles and go out the next night so you dont have to be stuck in a room of couples paying ridiculous prices ;) The problem with this though is that those inflated valentine deals will now be stretched by the hotels to cover before and after the 14th!

That sounds nicer der, I always feel a bit embaressed going on valentines night, it's either cheesy, or a bit forced, not to mention usually overpriced. You have the right idea for sure.

... and the problem with having a romantic night at home is? A really good bottle of champagne is already in the fridge, dinner is planned. Salmon mousse with salmon roe for a starter; tournedos Rossini for a main, and cheese to finish off with a glass or two of port.
