Yes you can have a dish on your balcony I've seen loads. The apartment below me has a dish which I'm sure can pick up channels from Mars its massive.

Im pretty sure they have etisalat. Fingers crossed i'll be able to connect straight away with minimal (lack of easties) distruption!

Since you are moving to an apartment check if you have Du or Etisalat - both of them have TV packages with Eastenders. Do you have a balcony? If yes, I have seen so many satellite dishes on balconies - again, check if that is possible in your building. It might be that you can't bring your dish but can have your Eastenders fix through Du.. like I do ;-)

Hi, moving to dubai from another emirate in a couple of weeks and already have a osn hd showbox and satelite dish. I believe since I'll be moving into an apartment you can't have your own dish, is this right? Does that mean you can only have whatever provider they use? Im having palpitations... eastenders are almost caught up to the xmas and new years episodes...aaargh! Also if I am able to take the showbox does anybody who has moved with it know if the programs i've already got recorded will save? Otherwise im going to be having a few late nights catching up with desperate housewives and glee! Honestly i have just realised how sad my life has become ;) TIA
