Hello ladies.... I just wanted to post a recommendation regarding a dentist that I visited yesterday. Now I am a bit of an expert on dentists as I have had ALOT of work done over the years.. 26 fillings, braces, extractions, 4 root canals, 4 veneers which were then replaced for 4 crowns and 2 additional veneers as well as recurring dental abscesses... and so on....

I have found Dr. Bushnaq at 'the clinic' in DIFC. www.theclinic.ae 04 323 0900.

He is highly qualified and has an excellent manner, their prices are very competitive and the premises are relaxing and very high tech.

I had a root canal on a front tooth and a large filling on a molar. The treatment was completely painless and he managed to solve a dental problem for me that 3 other dentists could not.

I cannot recommend him highly enough and I just had to share... so if anyone requires any general dental treatment (he is also a specialist implantologist) in the near future please do go and see him, even if it just for a regular check up or second opinion.

Please also feel free to contact me if you require any more information on him...

My adult teeth came through with a very small amount of enamel. On top of that my parents were not very strict about me cleaning my teeth and I have also always had a VERY sweet tooth and used to sneak chocolate and sweets to bed and eat them late at night... not a good combination. I had most of the work done in the UK as a teen and young adult so big amalgam fillings that have since deteriorated causing new decay around the old filling... the abscesses are a chronic problem in my front teeth only.... so in y 20's my 'dead' teeth looked awful so I had veneers done... they were awful so I replaced them with i nice set of 4 crowns and 2 veneers by a dentist here 10 years ago. I have VERY long roots so don't know if that can be a factor. Anyway. The root canal was 1200...and the large back filling 490... I was in his chair for 2 hours coz there was so much work to be done to sort out this abscess that 3 other dentists did not manage to fix. Dr Bushnaq is a British Arab an he is really nice, very gentle (I felt NO pain) and very qualified. He worked in UK for many years then came here and worked for Al Zahra Clinic, The Dental Studio and now has his own practice in DIFC.

And I am glad you found a great dentist-no one wants to have all that work done but sometimes there is no other choice-I was norn 9 months after my brother and due to mum's lack of calcium had horrible teeth so I feel for you

Fucia, good grief, the amount of work & cost! Would it not have been cheaper to get them all pulled, get a set of falsies and then once a month just post them back to the dentist for a quick clean & polish lol!!!!:)
