well I cook my Bolognese for a really long time - so that is not quick but then freeze portions.... but for lasagna, instead of making bechamel (i never have time, and am always concerned whats in packets) I mix ricotta chees, shredded or chunks of mozerella, parmesan, salt, pepper and nutmeg. I thin it with some milk and layer it with the bolognese like you would bechamel. and I use the sheets you don't need to pre boil

Here are some good shepherds pie recipes. The one I make is similar to the first easy one but I add garlic, tabasco, worcestershire sauce, an oxo cube, mushrooms and a chilli paper and a large glug of red wine to enrich the gravy! there are some good alternative ideas too like parsnip mash on the top or sweet potatoe mash.... http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/search.do?keywords=shepherds+pie&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=&filterItem=

Chop up some mince, onions and mushrooms and fry, chuck in a pasta sauce (Ragu/Dolmio) and a few mixed herbs for good measure. Make up a Maggi/Knorr Bechamel sauce packet and layer in greased dish: bottom layer bechamel sauce, then lasagne sheets, then bolognaise mixture, then lasagne again, then bolognaise, then nice thick layer of bechamel sauce on top, with some grated cheese/parmesan. Shove in oven, have glass of grape, and take out when you think it looks edible. Delia eat your heart out.....
