Hi all, wondering if anyone has seen these in a Tavola? Want to make fun cake pops with faces and smileys and stuff. TIA!

Aww, that's so sweet! We're currently living abroad, been almost a year now in Delhi, India. Since we'll be rushing through Dubai to Abu Dhabi where our folks reside soon I'm afraid I can't do any stopovers. Thanks again for the offer, though, I really do appreciate it. :) Solely for the love of baking, I can offer to send it across with DH's cousin to Delhi. She's here on a short holiday and will be back in Delhi on 31st. :D I think they're destined to belong to you :) I'm not really too nice a person. I just know how difficult it is to find baking related stuff like this in India AND here :D

Where do you live Katnip? I'm in JLT and have an unused set of 4 basic ones. You're free to pick them up. Aww, that's so sweet! We're currently living abroad, been almost a year now in Delhi, India. If you mix egg yolk with food colouring (the super strong paste ones - Wilton) you can then use it as 'paint' and us a paint brush to color the cut out biscuit mix, then cook as usual. I'm sure you could use it for other applications but if you use egg yolk you should be cooking it after you paint it to set it and also raw egg is dodgy! We made fab christmas cookie this way. Stars etc with fancy christmas colours. Hope this helps! Thanks so much, famn! I was looking up how-tos online but haven't come across this way. I'll definitely try it out. :)

The one in Jumeirah has a large baking section - give them a call. 04 344 5624 Thank you Izzy! My DH is going to kill me, haha! Okay, so just called them. Apparently they don't. Disappointment! It's not very practical ordering everything from overseas, is it?! edited by katnip on 27/01/2011

Did you see the new teddy bear pops at Bakerella? OH MY GOD.... I cannot bear seeing someone eating those up though :D OMG, YES. That site always makes me faint. I was one of the crazies who pre-ordered her book and helped it shoot up to the Amazon bestseller list. Irresistible! edited by katnip on 27/01/2011
