It's likely my son will have to have his tonsils removed. Can anyone recommend a good ENT specialist?

Thanks in advance

Thank you all for your replies. Next step is to book an appointment (can you tell I'm dragging my heels?! My son is actually asking to have his tonsils removed he's so tired of the infections). Thanks again

Another post for John McEwen. My daughter is not at all the shrinking violet, so didn't need any special bedside manner. What we DID need was a cool head and sensible advice, both of which we got. Gets the double thumbs up from us.

Just re-read my post ....... wanted to add I also think he is a very good Dr....When we first started going to him I was double checking what he was telling me, with one of my BF in NZ, who is a Surgeon...his advice was spot on He is also very good at educating you as a parent, providing you with info so you can make a informed choice.

Dr John Mcewan is amazing with kids - he operates out of city hospital. If you want I can give you his cell. When we moved here DS was terrified of Doctors, and "dr John" re-established his trust in doctors...he is very very good. I agree hes amazing!

He's at the Medical International Specialist Centre. He's across from Life Pharmacy/Emirates Bank on Wasl Road.
