Has anyone checked in a big stroller on BA?

I don't mean huge, but their website says infants have an allowance of one fully collapsible stroller. I have an iCandy Apple (similar in size to a Bugaboo Cameleon or MaxiCosi Mura when it's in its bag) and while the frame collapses and the seat comes off, I don't know if that counts as fully collapsible in BA terms or if they mean a dinky little umbrella stroller. I don't fancy having to cough up for it as excess baggage! Any experiences? TIA :).

Thanks - I'm very relieved to hear it! I was dreading a row at check-in. That's made me feel a whole lot better :). edited by DubaiCat on 08/03/2011

Me. I've checked in a Bugaboo Chameleon (both in and out of it's travel bag) and a phil and teds (as a double). So neither that small and certainly not one of those umbrella strollers. Fine everytime. In fact last time I flew I took 2 buggys (2 kids), the bugaboo and the P&T's and they didn't bat an eyelid out of LHR! The bugaboo went in the hold at check in and I kept the P&T until the plane door. I've even been lucky enough to have my bugaboo put in the wardrobe a couple of times (when I've flown at the front of the plane). I know BA often gets a bad press, but I have never found them anything but helpful esp where the kids are involved! Happy Travels eta - Last time I flew BA the plane was full of kids and I've never seen so many P&T's and Bugaboos going onto a plane - so they can't be too fussy! edited by pilotsprincess on 08/03/2011 edited by pilotsprincess on 08/03/2011
