You can carry a nice passport size photograph wid u if u dont want one taken there. They will click a picture of that instead.

If you have an egate card can you take your child through with you? She is 3 has a passport but no egate card? I did this with my grand daughter, had no problems.

Yes thats all and also a valid residency permit. Qucikest way I have found is at T3 Information desk opposite the entrance. Costs AED200 if an individual e-gate card but I understand it may be cheaper if you add to your UAE ID Card.
