Evening all

Do you use the guys in your building/maintenance guys to come and clean out the air con vent or do get a company from outside. Since Ive moved in the apartment havent had them cleaned out.

@Shame. I had the same problem with the AC in Al Seef 3. If you don't want to deal with the building maintenance guy please call our AC guy Faiz Noshee 0508994838. He is very good. We have been using him for over a year now, so far the AC is working. As for the leakage in the bathroom, we had the same issue. We had mold and the wall is bubble up on the side as well. We just re-seal the tub so far so good.

Hi ladies Thanks for your replies. We still have a leakage such a long story which is still not resolved. The last company ripped us off we had our thermostate replaced and today I still couldnt understand the problem was and we paid 500dhs! and other bits and bobs cant remember..I knew it was going to cost us. The same thermostate that was replaced by concordia had to be changed AGAIN! (it wasnt long ago it was changed) and paid yet another 1090 dhs incl. call out charges! and found out that they didnt change some motor thing for the AC which concordia fail to do so..all this palava is in my DD bathroom. Now..we have the same problem in our bathroom ..and I bet we will be billed for the same amount..arghh so annoyed and fustrated .. I really cant be dealing with all this atm as we have so much going on as it is.. To top it all, I really dont get this maintenace guys here they turn up with no tools and they use their phones as a torch arghhhhhhhhh...

Hi Sham, I live in 3 and I have never had water leaking in my bathroom, but used to have such awful smell, in the early days which went on for months. Was calling them out every week. I did have water leaking in my kitchen and they said to get the a/c cleaned, which they did as I refused to pay, however, it carried on, so I phoned the landlord and they came out and fixed it. Now I am getting bubble marks at the bottom of the walls in the masterbedroom, which I have reported to the landlord but his maintenance department don't care about it, they said it was condensation from the bathroom. My husband says it's a leak somewhere and it's getting worse! I'm looking to move when our contract runs out this year, 2 years is enough here for me. Nippy <em>edited by nippy35 on 10/04/2011</em>

Hi Sham I'm in Al Seef 3. We had water leaking in our master bathroom - a few drips and then it would stop and then maybe a week later would happen again. The guys from Concordia suggested getting the Acs cleaned out, which we had done and we've had no leaks since then which was about 5 months ago. Cost was 100 Dh per AC. We've got that new facilities company now so I don't know what they're like or what they're charges are.

Morning Gentle bump and a follow on from my previous post below ... Anyone living in these appartments experiencing problems with water leakage from their bathhroom..Apparently a lot of the residents in Al Seef 3 are.. Am just wondering whether its a structual problem. Anyone experiencing the same and kindly share. Am so sick and tired of how much we are paying out to the maintenance guys. :(
