Hi
I'd like to go to Karama this evening to an indian restaurant but have never been there before so have no idea where to head to first. Can anyone recommend anywhere please? Thanks

Try Saravana Bhavan for yummy dosas and all other South Indian veg food, and Paragon for authentic Kerala food. Their appams and Malabari chicken biryani are just toooo good.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought Karachi Darbar, Ravi and Student Biryani were Pakistani! If you like vegetarian, Sukh Sagar has the yummiest dosa's =)

Hyderabad Rocks is brilliant, cheap and cheerful. The menu isn't in english but it's It's in Karama opposite Burjuman centre and nicely decorated with black and white photos of Hyderabad all over the walls. There are only maybe 6 - 8 tables so it's quite a cosy place. Like Sim says, the menu is quite limited with only about 6 - 7 options each for starters, meat, veg, biryani etc and the menu is not in English so you have to ask the waiter to translate equally it's so cheap that we just normally order loads and hope! The only disappointment of this place was that all the meat curries are "on the bone", I literally got curry sauce with a bone in it once! For two of usit never comes to more than aed 90.

I ate at Karachi Darbar on Sunday and it was suberb. Dare I say, it was as good as ravi's? It cost less than 50 dhs for two of us. Student Biryani has also been recommended to me (by a local) however I've yet to try it

Manvaar, 20b Street, Karama is highly recommended by Time Out and also runner up to their Restaurant Awards 2011
