I've been trying to sell some sofas, desks and furniture for my boss, i've advertised on here and on Dubizzle, but have had no success, have reduced the prices but nothing is happening, any other ideas of where to advertise?

Many thanks

An acquaintance sold her household goods on FB - in a jiffy! She had great photos, an extensive network, all gone within days. Living in JLT, she also had a note on the board of her building.

I agree with Lucy111, attractive photos are very important. I am sure if you clean them and make them look nice and tidy, people will call :) Also there is a website called Souq.com, you have to register yourself but they take a small percentage. I have lot of friends who buy daily from that website and I was once a very active member but I stopped few years ago due to lack of time :( Also Spinneys and Choitram are a good idea, always people look there and I look too even if I dont have anything in mind but just to have an idea if there is anything interesting :)

Many thanks if you have had no luck on both then sounds like your price is probably too high

We advertised a dining table, tv stand, cooker, chair, and few other furniture items on Dubizzle a few weeks back. Everything was sold in just a few days! Some tips: Ads with photos are usually more effective than those without. Its worth spending some time cleaning and making them look attractive in the photos... A few lines or paragraphs describing the items will also help.. Good luck!

In the same boat as you....Considering Spinneys and Chroitham, I always see people looking at those notice boards. Sorry, can't be of more help. Good luck!
