I am pregnant and having a hard time finding clothes, I am size 8 UK or XS-S, and I cannot find any work maternity clothes anywhere my size (even the ones my size are too big), only jeans or leggings and that is not allowed at work. I actually found a pant with the front panel on my size, but it keeps going down, even my belly is getting itchy.
I work for the government, we are supposed to wear business clothes. Today, I bought a white maxi skirt, do you think i could wear it to work?. Skirts are so comfortable now, and I don't know what to wear anymore.

Go to Debenhams or Marks & Spencers or H&M or Zara or Massimo Dutti or any of the ohter 100 clothes' stores and buy the next size than what you normally wear ..... or the next.... should do the trick. I tried that and ended up looking like I'd raided my husband's wardrobe, and the clothes were still tight on my belly. Sometimes you do really need bits that were made for a pregnant belly - bigger sizes are just meant for bigger people! :D I agree, plus my belly is the one growing, my hips are not growing much. I dont look pregnant from behind. I am wearing the belly band with my regular pants but it is not that comfortable. I actually had to make it myself since I could not find a belly band my size.

One of my friends bought a load of maxi dresses from Carrefour when she was pregnant. It sounds terrible, but they were all bright and colourful and very stretchy cotton. I think they were short sleeved though, so you may need to wear a jacket or something to smarten it up a bit... <em>edited by waitingforthewkend on 25/04/2011</em>

Why not get one of those belt expanders until you're into the proper maternity wear? I think you can get them at Destination Maternity? It will give you a little more time in your normal clothes.

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what a maxi skirt is. When I was pregnant, I never wore pants or leggings or maternity clothes. I just bought long skirts with elastic waistbands. I also worked in a conservative environment and it was fine.
