ive been since 2 months trying out crest, colgate and some other brand i forgot the name of but my DS teeth seem to remain stained. its only the upper ones and am wondering if there is a toothpaste that i've missed and is better.
I brush his teeth twice a day and some times 3 times if he has anything sweet.

am I the only one :(

he only drinks it while sitting in bed and than goes to sleep. in night he just drinks water. and there r like very very white lines around that bit of yellowish stain. its a bit weird but I guess ill try the dentist at the clinic here on marina. do any of u know if they accept insurances? I have ETNA

hopefully its not from the bottle, my brother is an anesthetist and he has to give general anesthetics to small children quite often so their baby teeth can be removed due to bottle rot :( alternatively it could be tetracycline staining from antibiotics, (yours or his) I would suggest you get it checked out by a pediatric dentist so they can figure out if its decay or not. You might want to start watering that night bottle down so that it is eventually all water anyway.

well he was breastfed till he was 19 months and now he is drinking normal cow milk in a bottle ya. but he cant sleep without it and im glad he sleeps with it else he wants to be carried around till he falls asleep and that's not really an option

It could be flouridosis, (google it for pictures!) It could also be that he has no enamel on those teeth. DS has had no enamel on his front teeth since they came through (nobody can be sure of the reason as of course it would have been during pregnancy that the enamel formed) and it looked awful, he's had to have them filled on the front like a filling. Luckily once his big teeth come through they should be prefectly normal. Can also recommend Dr Madhu highly.

My dd has the White marks on hers dentist said it was too much floride ...which is a good thing for teeth but not a good thing for appearance ...my bro had yellow teeth when he was little but when the adult came through it was all ok I wouldn't worry if your dentist isn't .....they will all fall out eventually .... Also go and see dr madhu in karama not near u, but his great and grt with the kids and very gentle worth travelling.... <em>edited by fairycakeyumm on 04/08/2011</em>

I've got that on/in my teeth. I think it's "just" a calcium/ mineral thing - certain no dentist has had a fit about it. Make sure your DS is eating a healthy, balanced diet with lots of calcium to build those teeth. Try not to give him anything like tea. Also, use a toothpaste that's age appropriate, and only a pea-sized amount at that (which apparently they shouldn't swallow - ha ha ha, yeah, right)... this is to do with getting the right amount of fluoride. Certainly don't use any kind of adult whitening toothpaste.

well i think if they are a bit lighter than the actual color of his teeth you shouldn't worry about it as this is what my daughter had....these teeth will fall....but if it's worrying you why not have him seen by a dentist?

he is only 2 years an 1 month and the stains r like light yellow. but the weird part is that they dont start from the root. they start just bellow the root and its also not till the tip of his teeth. its very weird and the thing is that he hardly ever eats sweets, he prefers fruits so I dont get how he got this stains :(

are they white stains on baby teeth? Absolutely normal, my DD has it and the dentist said it's normal. She lost the bottom two and new teeth came up with not a spot on it.
