Du is the best in my opinion.I had du in marina, great service actually never had a problem. Etisalat on the other hand, what we have now,is soo rubbish.we had to put it cause was only etisalat service on jumeirah and we didn't have fiber optic so we went for the e-vision service.my god I thought I'm gonna disconnect the router and throw it out the window.constantly jammed sim card error and u have split bills for ur cable and Internet and land line.we moved to e life after they connected the fiber optic but I swear was the worst day ever.they came at 11 oclock and stayed until 6 pm:\: . Thought I'm gonna kill them or just pull the cable and buy a dish. Took 24hrs for the programs to update and the remote it's rubbish.

If you want the ease of having normal tv, option of recording tv, movies, OSN and sports (Al Jazeera and Abu Dhabi Sports) go for Etisalat not OSN. OSN is a separate company and you will have to deal with them, then Abu Dhabi Sports and then Al Jazeera and then Etisalat for your telephone and internet connection. So to make it easier for you, go for Etisalat ELife, you get all the recordable tv you want, plus the telephone and the internt connection all as one package. Hope this Helps

We don't have OSN but only because I think it's a rip off! We have Du TV and phone etc and have looked in to it in the past. You often find kiosks in malls with a representative and there is also a website that tells you what you get for different TV packages and how much but basically you can go to Du/Etisalat in a mall or shop and tell them you want a certain package and then if you catch them on a good day it will be sorted in a few hours. It just appears on your program guide on your digibox once its sorted. Alternatively I think you can just phone Du/Etisalat and tell them you want to subscribe. HTH!

They do have movies and sports but if you are like me and enjoy football then OSN doesnt own the rights now Abu Dhabi do so you have to get a bolt on package from them for more money..

I would speak to one of the OSN guys that have the booths in the malls etc.. You should be able to upgrade your package. There are several types of packages from low level to premier where you get a showbox where you can record, ff and pause life tv. I am in an apartment and dont use a dish ( I am with DU now though) When i lived in Mirdif in a villa i had to have a dish but it was already on the roof so he just strung the cable up there. Personally i find OSN rubbish some of the channels are okay but it all depends on how much of a watcher of TV you are I Have sent you a link below and i have found the staff there are really helpful when you call but it can take a while to get through to them http://www.osn.com/Subscribe/packages_en_gb.aspx I hope this helps

Could somebody please explain what we need to have OSN for the TV? Do they supply sport and movies? We currenlty have the most basic TV package with Etisalat, but we want to upgrade to movies and sports. Having had a persistant man come knocking this evening trying to get us to sign up to eLife I see only bad reviews and so figure we need to avoid this plan like the plague! But how do we get OSN? Do we keep the etisalat TV and subscribe for OSN that way? We use etisalat phone and internet so and are happy with them... Do we need a satelite dish or just a box fro OSN? Sorry for really thicko questions but we we on Du and it was easy, but then we moved to a different area... Thanks
