Yes. I had it both times. Dry, rusty/tin taste in my mouth until about 18 weeks. And then it went the opposite. I had to jeep my distance when chatting to people for fear of spitting all over them during the conversation. Aaahh... Pregnancy, such an attractive time in ones life. Lol.
Hi - I had same thing with one of my pregnancies - dry mouth for first few months but had horrible metal taste with it. Was told it was quite normal and that it would probably go as pregnancy went along. Can't remember exactly when it stopped but it did gradually get better. I found chewing gum helped. Used to get through packets of the stuff :) helped moisten my mouth and deal with the metal taste. Tried sucking on ice cubes for a time but went back to the gum. Give it a go - worth a try ;)
i tried sucking on candies, peppermint, drink loads of water (atleast 3 lts daily) and spend most waking moments in loo :) , still my mouth is dry all the time. and apparently even after making a list to ask my gynae i still forget a thing or 2. suggestions given here are always wonderful so seeking your help again ladies.
