Did my DD's ears at 5 months at a place called Kiara (sp) in Dubai Mall. Even got a certificate of bravery and a little teddy. She squealed a bit afterwards but that was it. 2 years old now and has no clue that they are even there. My mom did mine when I was about 6 months and I cannot remember. I think its best to do it when they cannot pull at their ears so before 6 months is ideal.

My DD is coming up to 6 months, my mom had mine when I was about her age, but I had a reaction to the studs so got them removed, and she had it done for me again when I was about 4, and yes I still remember it to this day.

What age are your bubs? Want to get myDD ears peirced but DH thinks she is too young (14months). I remeber the pain at 3/4 years old and dont want her to remember it like i did. <em>edited by nutty on 11/11/2011</em>

They use like a mini gun with the stererlized stud in it, yes they give u cleaning solution and you can buy more such as surgical spirit or a cream. Never heard of getting ear rings done not with a stud as u have to keep them in for a month and turn them u can't do that if it's not a stud. The studs should be fine they are hypo allergenic. I know a few people had there ears pierced there with no problems, and my daughters ears are fine.

You can get them done in the pharmacy in ibn battuta mall, park where geant is and it's opposite the nail spa, they charge 100 Dhs. I know this is going to sound silly, but do they use a gun? and what about the ear rings? are they studs? do they give some sort of solution to clean it at home? The main thing I'm concerned about is the studs and if she has a reaction to them. When I was younger I could not use plated stuff, would make my ears go funny.

Does anybody know a hospital or clinic in Dubai where they pierce the baby's ears for ear rings? I have already asked City Hospital but they do not do it...not sure why, was not given any explanation except that they don't do it...
