I was wondering why there are no Ethiopian restaurants in the new Dubai area (at least, that I know of).
Whenever there is a new African restaurant it is never about Ethiopian or Somali cuisine, whenever I ask people they stare blankly at me as if I was mentioning fried ants or the komodo dragon, and yet it is delicious.
There are a couple in Deira but not easy access for everybody (we tried one, don't remember the name, and it was really good).

I am not aware of any in the new Dubai area, but there is one in Karama, behind the Ministry of Health/Pizza Hut building, same block as the Betawi Restaurant (indonesian), across from Bikanervala on 4B street. I forgot the name of the restaurant, but the food is excellent and delicious. We are glad to have found this place and not have to track all the way to Deira :-) Thanks!!
