Hi Ladies,

Am a FTM so thought I will get a few good suggestions from you all about the following things

1) Sunscreen lotion
Which is a good sunscreen with a low SPF of 15-20? I use Mustela with SPF 50 but I find it very chalky, especially since buba goes out with me for only half an hour and we stay mostly in the shade. I want to know if there are any good sunscreen available for babies with low SPF which are more like lotions?

2) Good sleeping bag for Dubai weather
I am already using one from Ikea and I kinda like it. Need to get one or two more..... wondering if I should stick to the same or try something new. There might be something better out there! I want something with low tog as v usually keep the room temp at 23-24, even during peak summers. DS is 6 months. Any suggestions.

3) Sun hat
Where can I get a good sun hat for boys? I have checked out in Mothercare, Babyshop, n Toys r us. No luck so far....

TIA

Hi We use boots soltan factor 50 for babies, It's excellent and is a lotion for sure. I recently got a 1 tog sleeping bag from just kidding who deliver to your door, I think they do hats too. Try sandypants online pretty sure they do ithem. Hth Sorry to hi-jack: What temperature do you keep the room at? What clothes do you dress your baby in and do you cover with an additional blanket. I have a 1 tog but not sure how to use it. Thanks in advance The thermostat reads 22 but the temp on the monitor says 24. Our pediatrician said between 22 and 24 so thats where we keep it. We use just the 1 tog sleeping bag and a full footed night suit. No blanket, because she can pull it off now (7 months). The way I did it was to feel the back of baby's neck as someone told me. If its a comfortable temperature then you're fine. Either cold or sweaty will tell you which direction to change in. Also its better for baby to be a bit too cold than too warm is what I've been told, so avoid too many layers unless you need them.

I use the Mothercare ones. They're quite basic. 0.5 to 1 tog (doesn't actually say clearly but it its quite thin). Hosiery. They're about 150 AED. Been using it since my daughter was about 2 months and they work just fine.

I just bought a boys sunhat yesterday at Premam in Dubai Mall, near Destination Maternity. They had a few different ones to choose from.
