AR, Is this your first baby? How long as your OB agreed to let you go over your due date? I wouldn't worry too much if they aren't pushing for induction. As Spamm says babies come once they're ready not when we are :-)

My third baby was 42+5 before I was induced as he was huge! But with all my three bubbas my stomach didn't drop till I went into labour but they were in the correct position from 34 weeks. I wouldn't worry, but please speak to your doctor or midwife to make sure that everything is ok. Good luck to you!

Only around 5% of babies are actually born on their 40-week day; anything from 37-42 weeks is considered full-term. (Some experts believe that there are actually advantages to birth at or after 40 weeks as opposed to before.) Some babies "drop" before birth, but others do not drop until after labour has started so I wouldn't worry on that count. What does your midwife or doctor say? If you're at all concerned, then have a chat with her, and I'm sure she'll be able to put your mind at rest. Hang in there! It won't be long until you're holding your sweet baby in your arms. xx
