My twins go to nursery for 2 mornings here in the UK. They are 26 months old. Not sure if I will put them in one when we move to Dubai.

What are the costs involved?
Do they get funding at any stage?

anondubai, which nursery is this please? I am looking for a nursery what does daily or hourly rates in the springs, or jlt. thanks Most don't charge daily/hourly. It's typically monthly or per term. My son goes to Dew Drops in JLT. We found it one of the more reasonably priced places. It was 1550 per month for 3 days per week and 1850 for 5 days. That's mornings from 9am-12:30pm. They do the fewer days per week mostly for the younger kids just starting out. Much past 2/2.5, they gently pushed to have my son in 5 days per week. We're generally happy with it. Mostly Indian and Middle Eastern kids with a few Europeans and one or two American/Canadian kids. At 2.5 my son knows his alphabet, counts, knows colors and shapes. I LOVES it. Supposed to start writing letters and working on literacy skills soon.

My DD's nursery charges 150 dirhams per day (5 hours, breakfast and lunch included) if you don't commit yourself to a term. <em>edited by AnonDubai on 23/06/2012</em>

My twins go to nursery for 2 mornings here in the UK. They are 26 months old. Not sure if I will put them in one when we move to Dubai. What are the costs involved? Do they get funding at any stage? Thanks Hi JPS1, my DD is starting nursery in september for 2 mornings a week 8-1. It's costing about 6000 Dhs a term (3 terms a year) if you go 3 mornings it's around 8000Dhs. Prices vary nursery to nursery though. I understand there are nurseries you can pay on a more regular basis, the one on the palm springs to mind. Hope this helps

No funding here unless your employer gives you a schooling allowance. You can't pay for nurseries by the day, some will take monthly payments but most you have to pay per term in advance.
