BIG :(
so after nagging my hubby from so many days i finally went to ibn battuta yesterday but the shop (as mentioned here) didn't had any ergo. infact they didn't even had ever.it was a fashion outlet. then we went to marina mall, smittens. found the ergo there. i was so happy. My DH tried it, it looked very good but when my DS was put into that he was so uncomfortable and din't fit properly( 3 month old). So after crying alot (stuck his one leg in that) DH said i am not buying any sling or carrier for him. poor soul felt so claustrophobic. now how do i carry my baby all day if he is on a more helathier side and i am still not recovered from my operation :(

F - my preference without a doubt is the ergo. I found the baby born painful on my back and the different cloth slings too faffy...plus they never felt as secure to me ... Ds was and is a big boy and the ergo takes a lot of the weight onto your hips which I found more comfortable. I recently used my ergo going to the Uk with my 12kg, 15 month old DS and had him on my back and he loved it.

are you sure you had it on correctly? Not sure how big your little one is but there is an infant insert too if it is still too big...I found the Ergo the most comfortable, especially with my DS who was on the heavier side. I do have a second hand Baby Bjorn (was my sisters) which you are welcome to try and have for free if you like (I'm in JBR, going overseas on Thursday) as well as some cloth slings...If you want to try the Ergo again with someone to help you fit it properly I'd be happy to show you as well. edited by sydneygal on 21/07/2012 Sydneygal- Im interested to know your feedback on the various slings youve used vs the baby carriers. Im using a cloth sling but have a feeling my 3 month old will outgrow it soon

are you sure you had it on correctly? Maybe you need a little practice. I thought my LO didn't like it either, as he wiggled and winged when first put in it in the shop. I was so disappointed. Not we both love it and I couldn't live without it. Especially when I travel. It fits me, my super thin nanny, and my giant of a husband, so I'm pretty sure you'll adjust it to fit both you and your DH. My husband looooves carrying our DS around in it. It would be great for a single dad as he gets soooo much attention from women coming to say how cute our little guy is. I would keep trying. Borrow one and take it for a test ride in the comfort of your own home, when you are both relaxed. PS your DH has alot of courage to deny you anything so soon after you gave him something so precious. I would be pushing the "I just gave birth" angle a bit more ;) loved your "i just gave birth" angle :D but he was concerned about him as we tried 2-3 carriers on that day! otherwise we both wanted something so that our hands can be free as he is fussy in the evening and want to be held upright in the arms to observe everything around him once lights are on!

My little one is around 8 kg and fits fine in the ergo in the front position still. Sometimes they can be a bit fussy when they first get in, but at least my l.o. loves it once we start moving. Did you try walking around or bouncing around with him in it? I hope something works out! a 3 month old baby who supports his neck at few min interval will bw fine in front position? although now my ds has started to bob his neck only when he is tired :) <em>edited by angel joy on 22/07/2012</em>

will do. There are a few other positions with the Ergo too like the side and back position which your DS might find more comfortable.
