I'm really sorry to read that. My heart just breaks for you. I'm really glad you are trying again. I cannot offer answer to your questions, but I wish you all the best on the second treatment. Take care!
Hard to say, as it might depend on your individual case. The clinic will advise you on this I expect. Personally, I didn’t want to hang about as I felt age was a factor with me and for me jumping back on the rollercoaster seemed the right thing to do and helped me move forward from the miscarriages. Some people like to take more time between so they feel emotionally ready for the next. I have always had 3-4 months in between all my cycles but I probably would have done it sooner if the clinic and my body would let me! But in hindsight, this felt about right and gave me time to prepare. Best of luck, the only advice I’d say is make sure you feel you are ready, despite what the clinic say. Only you will know. There’s nothing worse than a failed cycle and wondering... maybe I wasn’t ready. Take care, it’s still early days xx
Gud83, very sorry to hear this news. I also have had 3 miscarriages all through IVF so I know how devastating it can be. Plum tree is right, you need to take some time for yourself. When you are ready to try again, make sure you discuss it thoroughly with the doctor before starting another cycle, he will be able to give you an idea of why it might have happened and your chances on a second cycle and whether anything needs to be changed about your treatment plan. There is usually a good chance that next time around things will be fine as a lot of miscarriages are caused by a chromosome problem with that particular embryo. For me it was a bit more complicated and did take a while longer but I got lucky 4th time around after IVF with Dr Fakih and am now in my 3rd trimester. Don’t give up hope!
Gud83 So very sorry about ur miscarriage. I had the same years ago. It was a very sad time waiting for the natural abortion that took a long while. No one will be able to tell why some perfect embryos don't end up being viable pregnancies or why some poor quality embryos do great and result in gorgeous healthy babies.
Miscarrying after IVF once certainly doesn't mean same will happen again. You should not worry about that all. I know ppl with good intentions remind us to count our blessings which we do of course but we shud just as readily allow ourselves time to grieve. It is difficult and sad what happened, allow yourself to acknowledge and feel the emotions that come along with it. This will help you heal and then you will try again with with renewed strength and faith. You are most definitely not alone in this roller coaster of emotions!
I am actually going through an IVF cycle at the moment and boy is it a crazy journey! But one that God willing will be worth it in the end for all us to whom motherhood is an even bigger miracle than for most!
Hang in there.
Really sorry to hear your sad news at this time. I can't offer any sound info as I'm hopefully going to do IVF next year with Fakih (very 1st time). Such a terrible shame, do you know why or what happened?
Hi friends
I did my 1 Ivf cycle with fakih and conceived first time after 7 years of trying but I miscarried on nine week. Baby heartbeat is not there. We are very upset and waiting for natural abortion. We are very worried what happen in 2 cycle becouse in this cycle every thing was vary good.
Any one face same thing and what happen in second cycle? Plz share your story.
