I also delivered with Dr Nasreen and sad to hear she's leaving. My friend went with Dr Braithwaite and only had good things to say. Does she have availability?

Aww bless ya forty winks, that's really crappy. Is your doc away just nxt wk or permenantly off? This thread recommends dr raj/dr bw/ dr branch/ dr danielson and I'm sure whichever one you choose, you and baby will arrive safe and well. Tbh most of the hard graft will probably be done by the midwives anyway (unless you choose c sect etc). I had an issue with dr at AH, and very pleased to have switched to dr Braithwaite at 22ish wks-though I feel fine, I'm now having many tests with suspected preeclampsia/gest diabetes etc etc and I'm so pleased with dr BW's treatment. The last gyny I had used, I see on this thread that she's leaving....though she had said she'd would have been here to deliver my baby, she wouldn't have. Deep breathe and try and keep calm for you and baby, and ultimately you and baby are in control....though I can only sympathise, you must be seething! The birth will be a couple of days of your life, but the most important thing will be your lifetime with your beautiful littl'un! Try and keep smiling x Thank you so much for the encouragement. She did mention Dr Branch in between our conversation, I just hope it works out. I really dont have the time to see countless OB next week because I really dont want to pay extra. We dont have insurance and chose to avail of their package. I will maybe try and see if we can have an appointment with Dr Branch. Anyone else recommend her?

I'm currently in a bit of a situation. I have been going to AH since the beginning of my pregnancy and have been seeing one OB. I am now due on Sunday (24 March) and been told at my appointment yesterday that if I dont deliver this week, she might not be there next week. Now that is a big surprise for both DH and myself. The reason we chose AH since the beginning because we want to have the same Physician to deliver the baby. However, when asked if she can recommend anyone to replace her, all she could say was, "schedule an appointment with another Physician, if you two click, then you can choose her". I mean, I am due Sunday, do we still have time to even choose a Physician? However, there is nothing we can do now but just hope that she is still there when I deliver (as she knows my history). If not, anyone you can recommend at AH who can handle or would accept a last minute patient? I'm stressing this out but not really showing DH because I know he is very disappointed too. Thanks!

Maia Danielson, I've seen 3 people there and In my opinion I think she is by far the best (she delivered my son in July - emergency C section and she did a good sewing job!) Lovely American lady with a really nice bedside manner.

I am really surprised to see a negative comment regarding Dr Braithwaite. She delivered my first baby and I received excellent care, from start to finish. I would certainly recommend her to others without hesitation. She actually prevented me from having an emergency c-section, which could have been a different situation with a less attentive obstetrician. I hope my comment reassures anybody currently under Dr Braithwaite. She is fab!

Just wanted to add a litle note on Dr Braithwaite and this is certinaly not my personal experience or opinion, but happened with a colleague. She delivered Baby # 2 with her and had a normal delivery. Some weeks later she had a really bad smelly discharge which kept persisting and went to see another gGynac and discovered that a large bulb of cotton was left inside her vagina "accidently". Was sad to see her suffer for someone else's carelesness.

I delivered baby# 2 with Dr. Raj. She is awesomeeeeee... Makes you very comfortable in the first time. Tell you everything to the face, honest, yet not rude (specially for first timers ). I had a special requirement to schedule the CSection on a paticular day and time and she made sure everything was arranged within that time frame. A total contrast to my Dr. for my first baby. I wish I had seen her then, things would have been so different.

Just delivered with Dr Nasreen ( December), again very easy to deal with, straight to the point and appointments easy to get. Open to natural delivery even after previous c/s.

We delivered wit Dr Braithewaite in August and can't fault her at all, she listens and is straight to the point and doesn't mess around. Fabulous and we hope to still be here when we have our second child so we can deliver with her again.

I am pregnant with baby #3 and use Dr. Raj. Highly recommend her. She has been there the longest, very straight forward, will tell you honestly the good, the bad and the ugly, no sugar coating, which is what I like. The best is to pick a dr. book an apt and see for yourself.

Hi Laura, I switched to Dr Braithwaite before christmas and its been a relief. As mentioned, she's a straight talker but she's brill and really friendly too - highly recommend. Saw her this am and she's delivering my littlun in April if all goes to plan:) <em>edited by maxmistry on 07/02/2013</em>
