Maternity bras and fitting service...

Check out her website, you can buy online also if you know your size and from memory I think she delivers it personally. thanks for this, will keep in mind for nursing bras when the time comes. i spent 2 hrs at Dubai Mall yesterday trying to find mat bras - no sizes in M&S and the woman who measured me insisted I should be wearing a size SMALLER than the one I was wearing, which felt uncomfortably tight. eventually got something at destination maternity, and they do these nifty bra-strap extenders for 25dhms which seem to have done the trick for the time being! I went onto the TKD facebook page, and they only do larger cup sizes right?

I am only 12 weeks pregnant but need new bras asap...in my previous pregnancies (a zillion years ago!) I was in England and ofcourse M&S have a fantastic bra fitting and advice service that you can trust...is there anywhere like that here? Hi, congrats!!! Well not sure on fittings but I got my maternity bras in Mothercare and M&S and Debenhams. I would advise to get feeding bras if you are planning in trying to nurse as this saves money in the future!

A friend got herself fitted either at M&S or Debenhams; can't remember which. Maybe you can try both to see if you get the same size? I've used http://www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/ and found them to be really good on delivery and quality. They have all the good brands and are cheaper than the shops here. HTH

In my experience, bra fitting is awful in this region. Every time I go to try things on, they don't have anything near my size (28F/30E) and try and get me to buy a 32DD or 34D or even 36C because they don't do above a D cup and just want me to buy something. I've had loads of shops try to convince me that a 34D is just fine and they put this size on slim and busty locals and it's ok. For the places that do stock above a D cup, they don't order many pieces and they sell out very fast. I don't understand it because lots of women here are busty! I think TKD is the only place that do proper fitting. Then you can order off Figleaves, which has reviews for most styles about how they fit (because as we all know, sizes vary wildly!) It's also not that hard to measure yourself. The old guide that you see everywhere (measure underbust and add 4 inches if even and 5 inches if odd) is based on 1950s sizes which (like 1950s clothing sizes too) are MUCH smaller than now (I take a 50s 32 D/DD and a modern 28F/FF). So the new way to measure is to measure your back, snug but not squishing any fat, then add 1 or 2 or 3 inches depending on the size of your bust (larger needs a tighter band) and your comfort preferences. Then measure over your bust and take the difference - 1" = A, 2" = B and so on - this is just a rough guide to get started with when trying on. So my back is 26.5-27", so I buy a 28" back and then whatever cup size fits depending on the brand. If I was small busted and didn't need that much support I could wear a 30. Most women are wearing at least 1 or 2 sizes to big in the back. When you go down a band size (eg 36 to 34) you need to go up a cup size (eg C to D). The problem is that a correctly fitting bra often results in the dreaded fat splurge! :( Both Debenhams and Marks do a decent number of DD+ styles but only TKD has 28 and 30 backs and a good supply of 32 and 34 in DD+
