Hiya ladies so I'm due on Wednesday and I'm having a sweep on Tuesday, fingers x'd it works for me. Need advice as a British passport holder from another British passport holder on registering the birth and obtaining a passport. Ill be delivering at city hospital. Do I have to go to another hospital to translate the birth certificate from Arabic to English? Is it done through the embassy?

Thank you in advance x

We used www.babystepsdubai.com and they were fab. The LAST thing you or your husband want to do when you have a new baby is run around Dubai trying to sort paperwork. Babysteps charges a fee (obviously) but it wasn't that much (I think around 500Dhs for the birth certificate and 1500Dhs for the visa) for taking all that hassle out of our hands, or so we felt anyway. I'd definitely use them again.

Hi, we used a service located in the hospital itself. They took care of all the paperwork. It costs something, but it takes all the hassle out of your hands. I'm sure City has something similar? Good luck and have a safe delivery! Thanks for your reply ill be asking the doctor or receptionist on Tuesday :-)
