@ Rosdon; yes I did deliver with Dr Yamini at Al Zahra. I highly recommend her, shes very calm. She was concerned that my little girl hadn't really grown much in 2 weeks. When I went for a check up I was already having contractions, she checked me and said my waters were about to go anyway, so I could stay & have my waters broken or go home, but it was possible I'd be back in by the end of the day. She didn't push anything on me, it was completely my choice. We chose to stay and have my water broken as we also have a 2 year old to consider. All done and dusted within 4 hours or so without any other intervention. The only downside was the discharge process, that took way too long for my liking. Other than that, the staff were loverly. The room was very nice. I didn't breastfeed, I was asked why, but it wasn't pushed onto me. To be honest they let me get on with it. @ keepinfaith; congratulations xx

Hi Ladies, those of you who have delivered already... Does any of you have experience with delivery using "outside" doctor in City hospital? What is the cost of the doctor on top of the delivery fee package?

The countdown begins for all of us. Good luck ladies. Anyone bought/seen nursing bras in size 42 that didnt cost you a fortune? Am trying to get the wired but not padded kind and its getting so difficult to find any here. I dont wish to order online due to a mental block of not wanting to buy before trying out the size.

Hi Ladies, 35 weeks and counting, it's our turn very very soon! I hope we all have our hospital bags packed and everyone is healthy and well. I was on 2 weeks bed rest/2 weeks on sick leave between 31-33 weeks , as I had cervix insufficiency, but everything is back on track now. Baby has engaged and looking forward to getting on with it now! Feel like babies going to fall out too, the pressure 'down there' is not the most comfortable experience, and I seem to feel the pressure more so then my first pregnancy Got to pull out all my first daughters baby gear and am pretty much ready to rock. I will say Good-luck to everyone now just in case anyone pops early!!! AND remember- just BREATHHHHHH! :) XXXXXX

PinkButterfly, try contacting Ash on [email protected]. A friend of mine recently bought Baby jogger from them even thought it is not yet up on their site....she said that they had managed to source it for her. Worth a shot maybe? I have dealt a lot with 6ambabies & have always found them to be super helpful! edited by Barsha Lady1 on 26/03/2014

TDB - I called Mothercare but they only stock Baby Jogger City Mini and no plans of selling City Select anytime soon :( I am now all over the place. Have started looking at Phil and Ted's Verve and Promenade as they sell them here. Very confused now but I still have time and I don't want to rush like how I was with DS and ended up having pram regret lol. Someone said Toys R Us sell BJCS so I'm planning to go to Dubai this weekend to have a look. Your LO is due soon, I still have 12 weeks left. Wishing you a safe delivery. God bless. x edited by pinkbutterfly on 18/03/2014

TDB - It's hard to find one nowadays. Even mumzworld is out of stock. So I've decided to just buy online and ship it here. Where did you buy yours? What do you mean it's complicated? How's the weight? Is it not too heavy? Is it heavy to push? Sorry for all the questions, everyone I know have Phil and Teds and they all said if given a choice, they will choose BJCS instead. But I've honestly never tried it, I've chosen it based on reviews I've read online. Not a smart decision I know lol. Hope to hear from you. Thank you in advance. x

Am tired already and can't wait for the next 11(OMG thats long) weeks to pass by. Am so often hit by water retention in my feet that I could cry now. Lifting it is like a task. Am trying to keep up my water intake, lower my salt intake, put the pillows and elevate my feet but it just doesnt seem to get off me....any tips you gals have other than the ones mentioned above? Also does any of you have any idea if a board certified lactation consultant is available at American hospital?

Hi May mummies, I'm a newbie to the group, I'm due on 15 May making me 28.5 weeks at the moment. This is my second bub, I have a 2 yr old boy and this time around apparently I'm on team pink. It's my first experience going through pregnancy and birth in Dubai, we were living back home last time. I tell you what I'm feeling a whole lot more aches and pains this time around, and feeling very pregnant (ie. I'm big and I waddle!). I work full time so sitting a desk all day is hard, but we're in Dubai on my job so I've gotta suck it up and try to make it as long as possible, I'm hoping to work through to 37/38 weeks (fingers crossed!). Also apparently low on Iron and currently waiting to here back from doctor whether I've got gestational diabetes. The first results came back with high levels so I had to monitor my blood glucose for a week, sucks :-( But hey, other than that I've got a healthy baby girl growing inside of me which I'm thrilled about :-) TDB - I read your post on Saturday afo, I was down at the baby bazaar that morning and may well have been checking out some of your girl clothes. I hope you had a good selling day. Jojo - if you're still reading these posts, I just wanted to express my deepest sympathies for your loss, just terrible news. I hope you're doing well.

Hello to all you May mummies and bumps, glad everything is going to plan We sadly were dealt a massive blow at the end of November. A routine scan showed one of our twin girls had massive abnormalities, Downs was detected along with severe hydrops and a complete body cystic hygroma. We were advised to wait it out by many Drs here in the Hope that she would eventually pass away. We did however go for a third opinion at another Dr who advised us that we would be potentially damaging the healthy twin and therefore it would be best to try and intervene. I travelled home to the UK where I underwent a very very sad "selective reduction(fetocide") and waved goodbye to my little angel on 21st November. All was going to plan until 10 days later when I started bleeding and then delivered her at home. I was rushed into hospital and within a few hours the waters broke for my healthy girl. She was too immature to be even given a chance at survival and I then started to develop septicemia so they decided to induce me and I delivered her on 2nd December. My world shattered into a million pieces and still hurts like crazy now. My only comfort is that my two angels are together as they were meant to be and I have my beautiful little 2 year old boy laughing and crying along with me. I wish you all a plain sailing second half to all your pregnancies, I'm waiting and checking back everyday, to hear the news of your progress, love and best wishes x x Sorry to hear jojo. May God give your family the strength to cope with this.

Hi ladies We had our 20 week scan. Babe looks really good, measuring well. Only thing they picked up was a 7mm cyst on the right side of the brain. But not a cause for concern as I have no other markers for anything else. Babe is kicking really well, so much more active that what my son was! They still wont say 100% the gender. Still have bouts of neausea, sicatica has kicked in again. Other than that I'm actually feeling back to normal. Back to walking the dog 3 miles in the morning without too much pressure on my bladder. Munchkin seems to have moved up. Although if I have anything to drink I need to pee every 5 mins!!
