Best place to buy saffron

I have promised a friend back in the uk to bring back some saffron from Dubai.
She is a chef/baker and uses it a lot.she tells me it will be so much cheaper to buy here?
I really have no idea, and don't feel that the supermarkets are the best place to buy and maybe not the best prices.
Any advice would be great. Thanks

Ohman, your friend is correct - it is recognised that the world's best saffron comes from Iran and Spain - although I think you're more likely to find mostly Iranian saffron in Dubai.
