Hai friends
I am a 4th month pregnant woman and a mother of 2 children.the company where i am working has provided medical insurance starting from today.the problem is It has meternity facility in NMC hospital and Aster hospital and first we need to pay and need to claim for it .mine both were ceasarean.so when i enquired in the above hospitals they told the delivery package for c section will be 15000 dhs and 14500 dhs respectively.in this case i want to take insurance of my own which covers maternity( not reinbursement).so can you please suggest some lowest insurance package which covers meternity.and is it possible to have 2 insurance for one person?

Are Aster and NMC in your insurances network? I think if you go to a hospital that is covered by your insurance you wont have to do pay and claim.

Due to new rules by the DHA there is no longer a waiting period for maternity. However, as you are already pregnant the excess the insurance company will add to a new policy will be astronomical unfortunately. If you are looking for full coverage it will provably cost you between 30 - 40K for a policy. There are some insurance companies that will offer policies to cover routine maternity services including normal birth at a lower cost however, this usually does not cover things like an epidural or emergency treatments. You may consider purchasing a maternity or delivery package with a hospital but again this will not cover you for any additional things such as emergencies. Hope this helps and good luck!

It's not likely with you currently being pregnant that any provider will cover you for less than 15k. If it's only you and not a company plan there will also be a 12 month waiting period to even qualify for maternity coverage. Meaning you have to have the policy for one year before they will cover any pregnancy related expenses.
