My husband and I are currently thinking about buying an apartment in JVC. I like that the area is close to where we need to be, but I'm not sure what's going on with the construction in the area. I've read that it's very delayed and I don't see many markets or cafes around.
Does anyone have any advice or tips before we decide to buy a place in JVC?

Good evening! JVC is a nice area for living. The New Mall is under costruction directly opposite to JVC. And there is City Mall Me'isem also very close, in IMPZ. In JVC you can choose spacious apartments, not small like in Marina or JLT. And prices are also good. And the main thing it is very close to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, to the sea (15 min), Al Kail road. I live in this are 2 years and don't want to move. I'm working with Real Estate company, and our guys can give you good advices, if you need. Wish you all the best.

Hi JVC is such a huge area it is difficult to answer. Basically if there is a large space in front of the apartment you are wanting to buy then expect construction to build more apartments in front. There are shops and cafes in JVC and more are going there as more construction is finalised. I like living there and find it a great base to get around Dubai, as long as you drive as public transport isn't great. Try asking to be added to the JVC residents facebook page as you can find out what people think about specific apartments. Thank you for this! We are still deciding but we're pretty sure about moving there. I know, the main thing is transportation because everything seems spaced out. Hopefully construction picks up and more places open! I've heard many projects are going to come to JVC and the mall is due to open soon.
