Hey everyone,
I am desperately seeking some guidance. Sinxe last 4 months had this funny pain in my left shoulder (was not constant). Didn't think much abt it guessing it was a muscle pull since I am into dance, yoga, zumba etc. But it only got worst since last 2 months.. Consulted a doctor who prescribed a buffet of meds saying it was indeed a muscle pull. After 01 month of follow ups and no relief, consulted a diff hospital where they did an untra sound and as it turns out that their is a tear in both my shoulders. Still not able to wrap my head around it bcoz I have had no injury or trauma what so ever. On my extreme low right now coz I love dancing. Its my absolute passion & my go to activity to relieve me of any stress tht I may have in life.
Turns out tht I will probably have to stop it and until when that no one can tell.
Anyway the conservative course of treatment as I have been told is to start with physiotherapy. I am really desperate to get my life my health back. Physiotherapy plays a major role in this injury is what I have been told. So I have to see the best.
Requesting you to pls share references of someone tried and tested in this area.

Will truly appreciate and b grateful

Hi there, just happen to see this thread. Would you be keen to try acupuncture, TCM or similar? there is one at Healthcare City called Beijing Tong Ren Tang +97144356905 or Shanghai Chinese Medical Centre that combines modern diagnostic equipment with TCM treatments which is along Jumeirah Road - www.dubaishanghaiclinic.com which you can try. Or consider the use therapeutic grade essential oils to help with recovery? And no - i have do not have a tried and tested experience.

Hi Geordie, I did consult Dr. Najoomi a week ago and after examination he told me the same thing that my other doctors had mentioned i.e to start with physiotherapy as this is the most conservative and preferred form of of treatment for my condition as of now. You mentioned undergoing physios for 6 months. Can u pls tell me the therapist that you were seeing for your shoulder rehab?? As per my doctor, an expert and experienced therapist will make all the difference in my recovery and is all what I need right now. Their are therapists available all around but I am really looking for a tried and tested reference, I cannot afford experimenting with my health anymore. Please share your suggestions and experience since you had a shoulder related condition. Will truly appreciate.

Full thinckness rotator cuff tear and removal of surplus bone. I was in hospital overnight after the op and then had intense physio to start with which tailed off after about 6 months. It did take me around a year to feel completely confident about it though. If you go and see him he will be totally honest with you. He knew my problem just from shaking my hand. Previously I was being treated with physio for muscular issues and it was her who suggested I go and see him, as things were not improving.

Go and see Dr Kavyan Najoomi, he's a shoulder specialist based at Mediclinic Meadows and Arabian Ranches. He repaired my shoulder cuff amongst other things three years ago.

Thanks licorice. When the complain started, took osteopathic treatment from optimal therapy. Since had no relief after treatments, decided to get it further investigated and it turns out to be a tear. U mentioned having results there. May I ask what was ur complain??
