Hey there, I see a few posts about recommending gynecologists but it seems to be geared toward recommending gyno for pregancy, which is wonderful. However, when it comes to non-pregnancy related women's health, I am having a hard time finding recommendations for those gynos.

I have been battling recurring yeast/candida and bacterial vaginosis (BV) infections for a year and a half. I have seen 3 gynos who are all lovely but haven't resolved my problem. I have done almost all the testing required (culture swabs, std testing, urinalysis, etc.) and still have this issue. The last year I was battling yeast but this yesr (since Feb) I have recurring BV. My body has taken a toll with all of these drugs and honestly I am ssssooo tired of this.

Therefore, if anyone has suffered from recurring yeast or BV, can you please recommend your gynecologist (or any general doctor / urologist) you have used who has helped you? Or if you have suffered from other non-pregnancy related issues too, that might be worth a shot.

Please do not feel I am discriminating, I am just tired and desperate for a doctor who can treat me completely and I just can't find recommendations from anyone on such a topic.

I truly appreciate it!

I am at my witts end. :'(

Try Dr Radwa at Mediclinic in Ibn Battuta. With these there's not much the Dr's can do, it's going to be down to you and your diet/hygiene practices. Take daily pro-biotics - ones especially mad...
Thank you!

It's miserably..... I was in the same situation for more than 3 years. I saw a dietician who recommended that I cut yeast, sugar, fruit and wheat from my diet. ( don't eat mushrooms or some cheese...
Thank you!

Try Dr Radwa at Mediclinic in Ibn Battuta. With these there's not much the Dr's can do, it's going to be down to you and your diet/hygiene practices. Take daily pro-biotics - ones especially made for women with over 2 billion active cultures. Overhaul your diet and reduce, cut out acidic foods/drinks. Wear cotton underwear and avoid tight trousers/jeans etc. And DON'T use those feminine washes as they're a major culprit for all this stuff, avoid soaps and other harsh things. I go through cycles of Thrush and BV and it's awful. But since doing the above, it's all really helped.

It's miserably..... I was in the same situation for more than 3 years. I saw a dietician who recommended that I cut yeast, sugar, fruit and wheat from my diet. ( don't eat mushrooms or some cheese ) I did stick to it for about 4 months, and in the 6 years since I have only had thrush once or twice. If I feel like I am getting thrush, I will have a few days of cutting out those foods, and so far it has worked.
