She MUST leave - or it will be the lash. But is this a "wind up"? why? Gosh. To be honest PPM, when I read your friend's friend's reaction to the whole situation, I am thinking; She can't be serious right? I am sure, that if the girl came to KSA on a company visa they will have made things very very VERY clear, and what the consequences can be if you get yourself in trouble. Because once she IS in trouble her embassy can't do anything for her. So for the 5th time, tell this girl to pack up and go. If her company finds out, she will be deported with a ban. Have seen it happen when I was working in Bahrain. and prostitute stamped in her passport. A bit strong worded isn't it?

OP, if this is indeed for real, your friend needs to leave and leave fast. As many posters have indicated it is far too dangerous to stay. Too many what ifs.... An exit visa can Be obtained in an emergency for reasons below. There will be no possible chance her BF will marry her for other given advice. If she stays, she will be in serious trouble.

No offense OP but is this for real? A woman living and working in KSA (therefore with first hand knowledge of the quite blatant religious rule of law) doesn't see why she needs to leave now instead of staying until 5 months with all the risk carried with that? What if someone in his family decides they don't like the idea of them getting married and reports her? What if she's involved in a RTA and has bloods taken in hospital? What if she has a pregnancy related medical issue? Way too many "what ifs" here. I can maybe understand women in the UAE not realising how risky this is given that the place is fairly westernised. But in Saudi?!

I have forwarded the link to this thread, so she will be reading it by now. I don't want to panic her too much though, especially in her condition. I think it will take over a month to get an exit visa anyway, as her friend told me. Just wanted to add, I hope she will take this seriously. S** outside of wedlock is a very serious offense, and while in Islam both men and woman are equally guilty/punishable when doing so, unfortunately she is a woman and it will show, while a man can lie about it and say he doesn't know her. That would have her face trouble on her own. edited by Marroosh on 10/05/2013 i think you can do dna test invetro now.

you can get an emergency exit visa in a day - just say she needs to travel urgently - sick relative.

She reckons she will be ok as she is British. I think she will wait until she is 5 months, if nothing happens then she might go home. I am sorry to say but that is delusional, she will not get away with anything just because she is British. They guy can't just marry her, when she is 5 months it's too late. She needs to leave. And to be honest I can't believe a Saudi guy who got his Gf pregnant is going to marry her with the help of his family. Again, she needs to leave.

BF is 'promising' to marry her.....MG...she needs to get on the first plane out of there hauling his behind...and get married. A promise is worthless until it is fulfilled. In KSA a Saudi needs permission to marry a foreigner which can be a lengthy process. She better get out yes, but if he is going to marry her..

Well, he is a Saudi guy, he might not be able to marry her outside of the country. His family said it would be all fine. Well depending on how much wasta (Important Person Who Can Help) the family has, he still needs to get permission from the KSA government to marry her. They are quite strict on that.

A friend of a friend is working in a hospital in Jeddah and she is pregnant. Her BF is promising to marry her, but she is afraid that the authorities figure out that she was already 3 months gone. Should they get married overseas? What would happen to her if they were to find out? She needs to get out of KSA ASAP, and if she wants any chance of returning, the guy better marry her. I am sure in KSA they are much stricter than here. She better go home now. To add, I have to do a medical and blood test before marriage, and if she has to do the same, they could easily figure out. Why women (and men of course) keep getting themselves in this situation, I don't know. Please advise her to leave KSA. edited by Marroosh on 10/05/2013
