I need to have made or buy bedcovers and curtains for our house in Spain. I think I may be able to have them made or buy here more economically than in Spain. I don't want luxury but obviously need good quality and price as I will still have to pay to ship them. Any ideas of where to look and who to use would be welcome?? I would buy ready mades if poss from sales in UK online or bedcovers from spain and have curtains made here, problem is choice of fabric is so limited.

Dragon mart. The materials are similar to the ones available at the expensive shops like Sedar. I paid AED 7000 for a curtain at Sedar, then found the same material at Dragon mart & it was much much cheaper. AED7000 for one curtain?! I paid AED340 for curtains for our 3.5m wide bedroom window including rod and hooks rom Ikea and had them up in half an hour. They do the job and look good so I'm happy.

I can recommend this lady who does curtains and re-upholstery for a reasonable price. she can come over to your place with excellent samples. I got my L shape lounge redone for half the price from what it orginally costed me and got my table runners done. She can help you choose which fabric would be best. 055-5621582 ( Cheryl ) Probably she can get these bed covers done for you!

Another vote for Dragonmart. I had quotes for our last villa ranging from about 12K-17K. I got almost the same curtains made up at Dragonmart for under 3K. To get everything done at the best price, you need to take your own accurate measurements and be VERY specific about what you want, ie type of lining, finish at the top (pleats, gathers etc), poles or tracks etc. All of the curtain makers are in one area at Dragonmart so it's pretty easy to check out the range of fabrics and get a few quotes sorted.
