I thought that you couldn't book a flight for someone else. Is this wrong? How do I book my maid's flight home?

with BA they send the details to your email...so you verify the the booking. Qatar Airways...you have to go to their office with the booking details and your cc. and they will give you a form to give to the passenger that they need to carry with them when they fly...not sure about others...

i think with emirates, you can book some routes with paypal for another passenger. But I have never tried it myself. I'd suggest calling Emirates to get clarification. I usually go down to the DNATA centre on Sheikh Zayed and pay there which means I forfeit the online discount.

It's EK and Dubai airport. Some airlines have a 3rd party payment option ie BA or you book over the phone to conifirm identity.

On Qatar Airlines, because I booked for someone else on line and used a credit card that had to be shown at time of check in, there was a facility whereby I took the credit card to the QA office and obtained a form stating they had seen CC that was handed in at check in so I did not have to be present; otherwise I was told I would be allowed in to the check in area to show my CC even though I was not flying. Wow that sounds complicated - hope it makes sense.....

I think it depends on the airline. To book for just me on EK I had to book and pay with my credit card, but we just booked for me to go home on BA and I booked it on expedia.com and paid with DH's credit card. I think its ony EK there is a problem booking for aomeone else

I'd try DNATA - I booked a flight for someone else and paid over the phone with my credit card.
