Hi, I didnt have a breast up lift but i had implants in September last year at Dubai Cosmetic Surgery by Dr Ahmad Ghanem, and he was amazing, and so was the aftercare. It took months of researchin...

Dr. Ghanem is fantastic!!! I had my breast implants done 8 years ago and he was amazing, down to earth, not money hungry, and reasonable. All the costs are included, even the after care, no plus plus plus. When I decided I wanted them done by him, we sat down and set a date then he asked for a deposit. I asked how much and he replied, as much as you want. He explained that I should pay half before the surgery and half after. That is unheard of, every other doctor in Dubai wants all the money before the surgery takes place and they want plus plus plus. I couldn't be happier. Just go for a consultation, you will see for yourself. You should always visit at least 3 doctors before you decide anyway.

Hi There, I just wanted to post, I had a reduction with Dr Tahir a few years back and I am really happy with it and with him. I spent a lot of time researching and chose Dr Tahir after a few consultations. My reduction was done really well, and I have minimal scarring. I do find it really scary reading all these responses though, and do wonder if I have such little scarring because my skin is really good at healing or something, although in my research I had actually gone to Dr Tahir based on recommendations from friends and family, so was pretty confident with my choice. I hope those of you who have had a bad experience are able to find a solution though, must be awful spending all that time and money to end up with bad results :(

vixster, i am slightly confused at what you had done by dr tahir? In your previous post said breast suregery, did he also do something to your stomach? I really hope you can can get it fixed, my sis had keloid scarring after her first c section and then the 2nd one was totally fixed and now her scar is invisible, this was in uk on nhs so pure pot luck. You could try dr khan though, he always gets great reviews on here. Good luck.

sorry just saw the note - my reduction scars are tolerable - although not perfect by any stretch - my tum is shocking! I just had to have a c-section and everyone who saw me was horrified - I have be told by my obgyn to sue!!!!!!! I did go back and he said I would have to pay for the operating theatre costs and came up with 14000dhs which is the price of a nose job!!! Size for the boobs was discussed prior - I am just very dubious of his skill and ability - but I did do my research so quite upset about the whole thing - mentally scarred as well I guess. The thing is it is such a big, expensive op that you really need to plan for time off - I had no further time available to fix it as well as no money!!!! Philly - I would be interested to know what your daughter did regarding her scars and any advice really, as I just gave up! :( edited by vixster on 13/04/2011 So sorry to hear about your scars, who did your c section, this is very worrying?

Thanks for the update, i was going to go and see him soon so i'll contact him there then, amazing surgeon isnt he! Dr. Buthainah is a woman.. She's Emrati but was trained in the US.

I'm surprised to see the reviews on Dr. Tahir but then i guess no two surgery's are the same so it's hard to know what to expect and kind of scary really. I have only heard good things and myself underwent implants with him last October and couldn't have been happier with the whole procedure and end results. Best of luck with your decision, never an easy choice and I find even harder when is this country. Hope you find the right doctor for you:)

I too had reduction here and no i was not happy with results almost a year ago... my dh says i was butchered. The finishing touches not professional at all i will need to correct some of the work etc evently. I would recommend if at all to do any surgery in europe. Here, who do we complain to once we sign the consent forms?!;(

Vixster- Just curious, did you ever go back to say that you weren't happy? When you say hoping for a "D" did you ask first what size you wanted after op or were you not given a choice? And are your scars bad? Philly- Did your daughter complain also? And was she able to have the awful scars repaired by him or another doctor? Sad when things go so wrong :(

I would not recommend my surgeon dr imran tahir @ british LASIK clinic - very expensive, still too large, they are in the right place but not neat! I had a breast reduction - 34gg down to 34f was hoping for a d - still have the same issues ie clothes, underwear and bikini shopping very hard but now with scars! I would recommend a lift or reduction but just not by him! My daughter also had a reduction with imran tahir and her scars are awful and i mean realy awful
