Cheap craft shops, Dubai?

I'm keen to start getting arty. Have looked round that big amazing craft shop near Lulu on Umm Suqeim street in Barsha but it's pretty expensive (small bag of sequins is around 20 dhs and the canvases are a fortune compared to the big supermarket prices). Also been to the one in Jumeirah but again it's pretty expensive.
Is there anywhere else I could try maybe in Satwa?
