My favorites: Sweet Factory (yes, gummy candy! :D) Sugar Daddy's Bakery for their amazing vanilla cupcakes (wish I knew their frosting recipe!) Paul Cafe for the chocolate croissant. Laduree for their macarons, naturally. Haagen Dazs for their Macadamia Nut Brittle with chocolate fudge, yum! Godiva for everything! I also LOVE Applebee's Blondie brownie with maple butter sauce! Desserts are close to my heart.

there's a fabulous ice-cream dessert (cant remember the name, but like a sundae with oustnadingness!) at the arabian ranches golf club green tea ice cream at toshi is a fave of my hubby's

I've been here a few years and have yet to find really excellent cakes and pastries. Things I have found that I love here are: Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie with ice cream from Chilis Pistachio macaroons esp. from Fauchon or Laduree Love Umm Ali in general - only had it at brunches though, so can't help you with a place Carrot cake and brownies from Lime Tree Cafe Oh and I forgot - cupcakes from Magnolia, Sugar Daddy's, Sweet Stuff and Kitsch - the first two places being my favs.... <em>edited by chizz on 13/01/2011</em>
