Ladies

I have a friend whose son(21 yrs old) is dyslexic. They found out about this only when he was about 12 years old, but he still has not been able to come to terms with this. There have been emotional effects on him and now when he is at a stage where he has to choose a career, he is unable to make up his mind, however has turned it into a form of aggression and exclusion of self from anyone trying to help him(incl mature parents).

Would any of you personally know of and can refer me to a career counselor in Dubai who specifically handles dyslexic young adults?

Just cant see this boy go through this phase. Any inputs will be a plus.
TIA

Hi I highly recommend Francesca McGeary who runs the Literacy Intervention Program and works with kids of all ages. Her program is a one month intensive program. Her number is 050 323 1251. Good luck

try the lexicon centre - they have a child psychologist there who is really good at dealing with boys and their many issues. They specialize in diagnosis of dyslexia, reading and also all sorts of other issues from learning disorders to simply boys who are chaotic ! I don't know more than that - you have to google lexicon and dubai. The psychologists name is Dr Rudi .... ? can't remember. He is lovely. a little cuckoo but great with boys.
