Hi
Does anyone have experience of having one of these fridges installed? I bought one second hand from a friend who was leaving. She had never had it plumbed in and had lost the manual. The plumber I've had round today is lost because the hose running from the back of the fridge is smaller than a standard tap fitting.....and I was getting so excited about ice on tap!

I confir. That Sharaf have pumos for samsung - my fridge is a samsung also. Take the model of your fridge to be sure, but it's quite the same oump for all, so you should find one easily.

We recently bought a pump for ours at Time Sqaure, Sharaf DG. You could maybe try calling them, and ask if the pump they sell works for your fridge.

Ours came from the shop where we bought the fridge...the Westinghouse shop in Bur Dubai, a couple of streets from the Hilton hotel............but they are not brand specific and we bought another of the same make seven years later here in Cyprus, ......it's out in our studio and its dark now but will go look for the name in the morning.

Talk to the Samsung supplier - they will have. We had one with a Whirlpool. You get a pump and sit bottle of water on top.

Thanks people. Sounds good to me. Any idea where I buy one of these pump kits from? I hadn't even thought about making ice etc from the tap water - I just knew my brothers is plumbed in in the UK! It is a Samsung by the way if that makes any difference. Thank you. :) edited by plum2 on 08/11/2011

you make your ice from tap water? Couldn't you just stick it in a bottle of water? You need to buy a pump kit which then feeds the water out of the water bottle. It's a lot simpler than plumbing in, you use pure water and the fridge can go anywhere. This is what we do - the bottled water is concealed in the cupboard (thanks to a bit of handy work from DH) you do need to buy a pump though.

Apparently, you have to buy a water connection kit from the manufacturer/distributor - it comes with a fridge fitting, a nylon water line and a T-fitting to connect to the cold water line under the sink. You don't need a plumber to do it, or so says my husband, the fount of wisdom!
