Hello Ladies,

I am looking for a home maintenance company with whom I sign an annual contract for basic home/ac maintenance in the meadows.
We have received quotes from Nitty Gritty and Hitches and Glitches (as these are the ones we see most often around the area), however I am looking for experiences/suggestions for any other companies and would appreciate advise...thanks

I can recommend Reliable Squad. I used them and they are very fast and reliable.

I would never ever recommend JIM WILL FIX IT. We had very bad experiences with them. 1) We've contracted them for the whole maintenance of an AC before we moved to a new villa. It seems like they didn't do anything, because in the next two weeks all ACs in our villa were broken. 2) We had a sewerage emergency. JIM WILL FIX IT came after we begged them, they saw our problem and everything they've told us was wrong. We've been told that we should lift our floor so they could do the cleaning. And that was wrong! The problem was in another place and was not related to the kitchen floor. Anyway they couldn't do anything. Or just didn't want to work! Probably they have toooo muuuuch costumers! They also have done some small repairs for us and we had to re-repair everything with another company. And they charge a lot! Very bad service! ABSOLUTELY (in 50ft capital letters) could not agree more. First time I used them, a UK guy helped me - from there he became obnoxious to the point I refused to talk to him any further. Staff rude generally and work ethics non existent.

Sorry for your experience with JIM WILL FIX IT, i have had nothing but praise for them, they have done my AC'S twice and fixed a nasty sewerage problem for us less than a week ago, and they were fantastic, the guys were polite friendly and did there job well, and the cost was not that expensive.. They had also informed me that unblocking drains etc was not there specialty and if they could not rectify it within an hour they would recommend some one to do it for us, JIM WILL FIX IT came out with in 2 hours of me calling and had it sorted out within 50 Minutes.

Hello, we recently changed from Mplus to Nitty Gritty. We are half way through the contract and still very happy. Good price, good response. They are so far the best I have tried. You even have your personal contact person to call in case of need. Mine is called Mr Mir. 0528094305 Hope that helps. Steph

Now we are using AL HILAL and no complaints by now. We'll see how is it going with them. But it seems like they really care about their costumers unlike most of other home maintenance companies in Dubai. Actually, I never thought that home maintenance can become a huge problem and a hard headache for one, until we moved to Dubai! Dubai has the worst home services I've ever seen. edited by Centella10 on 22/07/2014

We also used the service of M-PLUS, but they failed us, too. I don't recommend them either. They always fooled us. After we made an appointment they wouldn't show up just like this, without any explanation. And we had to take a day off from work and wait for them the whole day. It happened few times and then we stopped using them. I think that's rude!

We used mplus when we lived in an Emaar tower to service our air conditioning - great service. You can check their website for the services they offer and prices: www.mplus.ae

We use MAB and they have been fine. I thought H&G were great but changed because they were far too expensive and wouldnt negotiate on their fees.
