Has he been charged? I thought so far he was just suspected of being involved.

so he killed her cos he didn't want to be married to her? That's really harsh.... There must be more to it than just that...

Haven't really been following too much - if he did arrange her murder, what was the motivation?

Don't think Riaan is still reading the news, haven't seen him for a while. Yip, Riaan and his 'wig-thingy' hehe, shame, he's actually a very sweet guy. I saw him in the traffic not too long ago :-D! And Johan Stemmet on Noot vir Noot (hahahaha). "R50'tjie vir jou" LOL! Have you seen Gavin vd Bergh lately?! Oh my ...... I was shocked when saw him on Pasella after YEARS ... he doesn't mature very well (sorry Gavin!). I can still remember years back when "Belade vir 'n Enkeling" was still on, he was so hot.

couldnt agree more on the publicist comment. and they've been interviewing his ex-fiance as well as a gay escort with whom it is alleged he had ... ehm ... interaction. poor girl. her family is struggling so much.

chocaddict - what doc.. where can I find it? isn't it odd that you can watch a doc about a crime before it's been solved

The media's involvement makes it very confusing. You end up not knowing what to believe. The CCTV footage makes me doubt Shrien's involvement, I could be wrong (so could 1/2 of the world). I'm convinced it was a hit (murder) ... just not sure who's behind all of it. I guess we'll never really get to know the truth.

The whole thing is very strange. I would doubt the motives of everybody involved, police, taxi driver, husband. What I don't understand is why he married her in the first place? Definitely, hiring Max Clifford (a top publicist) straight away doesn't fit the picture of a grieving husband.

Watched a documentary on the Dewani case last night. Cried my eyes out watching their wedding dance, it's so sad. She seemed like an amazing, beautiful person (inside & out). Shrien's got a lot of explaining to do. Not only was it the end to a beautiful, loving life ... but also has detrimental effects on South Africa's (already) "value of life" reputation.
