The week after Easter Mr DV has a very rare week off so we need to do things but on the cheap. We want to get one last camping trip in but don't know if it will be too hot. We were thinking of Dibba for a night or two but wondering if there were any other beach camping suggestions? I have done a thread search but it doesn't come up with many suggestions. Is White beach in Oman too far to go?

Also, what else can we do that won't require spending too much money? Too hot for picnics in the park. Maybe al Ain zoo but again depends on how hot it gets.

Wracking my brain and been doing a lot of internet searches but can't seem to come up with much that won't break the bank. Really want to have something planned for every day.

Help!

I agree the Oman dive centre is lovely but it has got very pricey. Their website say it is High season until 30 April and a double occupancy hut is 82 O.R. (approximate 820 dhs) for half board. Wow - I'd pay 820 for half board for 2 it's such a stunning stunning location. Might book it myself now!

Not sure of the prices but I'd head to the Oman dive centre and stay in one of their beach huts - it's the most heavenly location.

I think white beach in Oman would be lovely for a camping trip. If you leave early you could be in Muscat for lunch and then head down the coast on the fabulous new road towards Sur. Loads of places to camp down there. ETA : if it was too hot you could head up high into the hills from the coast and it's a lot cooler up there. edited by plum2 on 16/04/2011

Do you like the oasis at Al Ain? I think it would be lovely to have a picnic there!
