Are there any solutions to ingrown hairs and bumps? I have so many on my legs. I'm so embarassed when I get my legs waxed every month. I've tried exfoliating, gloves and bought those scrubs with little beads. Nothing works. Please help.

I recommend Tendskin as well. It really works!

I had a similar problem LuLee but it went thanks to laser hair removal. Yes it was expensive as I paid AED2000 almost 4 years ago for half legs, knees & below but it is money well spent. Go for it. Is that just for 1 session? How many sessions did you need?

there is a solution you can buy - and i'm sure i've seen it in boots - it's called Tend Skin. dark blue bottle but I think Boots also do their own version - check the shaving section. http://www.tendskin.com/index.htm It has aspirin in it which somehow helps. I used to swear by it before I got my bikini line lasered. Thank you so much. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I checked on amazon for reviews (4.1 stars) so that's pretty good.

Yes I was thinking about laser, it really works for my facial hairs. For legs, it'll be very expensive. I'll probably need 20 sessions. Aaah I was hoping there were some sort of of solution I can buy at the pharmacy. I read if you mix alcohol and aspirin and apply to the area it works, but haven't tried it. edited by LuLee on 09/04/2011

[b'>Stop waxing!![/b'>! I had an on-going problem just like you - ingrown hairs and my skin never felt smooth, always bumpy. Had been waxing for years and the problem had just got worse. Tried everything, including regular scrubs - still no change. On advice from a friend, had a few laser hair removal treatments on my lower legs - have cut down about 85% of the hair and now just shave the few remaining hairs once every month-ish. Skin smooth, no bumps and no in-growns.

I know it's terrible, but when I get them, I get a needle and pick the hair out, just like you would a splinter. They're often only a layer or two of skin under the surface, so you don't need to dig at all and it won't draw blood.
